Practising humility appears to run contrary to today’s perceived necessity for self-promotion. And perhaps the brothers-in-arms mentality that manifests itself as esprit de corps in the military finds far less traction in civilian life. But being modest, in the fullest sense of the word, is a trait we admire in others, even if we rather cynically believe it to be a weakness in ourselves.

Allowing yourself the opportunity to explore something which is even more important than yourself may be the first step towards finding the role which is also truly you.
